Director Pastreich Discussed Future Exchanges with Saudi Arabia King Saud University

Director Pastreich visited King Saud University to discuss future cooperation and exchanges in business and technology with SolBridge. He reached agreement for exchange of faculty and students and has entered into a project on technology and international relations with Dr. Mezyad Alterkawi, CEO of the Riyadh Technology Incubation Center at King Saud University.


Asia-Pacific Business & Technology Report Covers KSU

The cooperation between KSU and South Korea continues to flourish, as Asia-Pacific Business & Technology Report extensively covered King Saud University and its leadership in the latest issue of December 2009. The magazine has published two articles about KSU.

The first one is “A Korean in Riyadh: Korea’s Top Innovator Introduces the Country’s Know-How to the Middle East”. It covers the visit of Mr. Kang Gye-doo, President and CEO of Daedok Innopolis – Korea’s foremost research cluster, to KSU. Mr. Kang was a key note speaker at International Conference on Entrepreneurship (October 25-26, 2009), organized by KSU. Among other activities, during his visit, he also met with key officials of KSU. An important meeting was with Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Ghamdi, Vice Rector for Graduate Studies along with Dr. Fars Alanazi, Assistant to Vice Rector and Dr. Mezyad Alterkawi, CEO of Riyadh Technology Incubation Center. The focus was to strengthen the cooperation between KSU and Daedok Innopolis.

The second article “King Saud University – On a Mission”, exclusively talks about KSU, its premier position in the Kingdom’s knowledge sector and the valuable role KSU is playing for the region by developing much vital human resource. The article also talks in detail about the President of the university Prof. Dr. Abdullah Al-Othman and his exemplary leadership that has taken the university to the heights of excellence. His unwavering leadership and vision has helped the university achieve unprecedented development never seen before in its 50 years history, the article says. The article also covers the efforts of Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Ghamdi. It mentions his efforts in creating several successful programs that are contributing towards achievement of knowledge based economy. This article is penned by Dr. Mezyad Alterkawi, CEO of Riyadh Technology Incubation Center, who also serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of the magazine.
